Puma

Why we knew Puma Would Fall

10/27/20251 min leggere

Puma had been in a clear downtrend for years. Weak price action, no momentum, no strength.

But the real reason wasn’t technical — it was narrative.

Puma had no clear growth story:

  • no major athletes carrying the brand

  • no innovation creating excitement

  • no competitive edge versus Nike or Adidas

In sportswear, winning sells. Puma wasn’t winning anywhere.

In Formula 1, the teams sponsored by Puma were out of the title fight very early. No victories, no headlines, no hype.

Without hype, there are no new buyers.
Without buyers, price only goes one way.

The drop from €21.93 to €16 was just the market accepting reality.

The chart followed the story.
